Around 70% of Jobseekers Actively Looking for Job I Sales, HR, and ITES Most Impacted Areas in Covid19


During Covid19, in an online survey done to get job seekers insights on the job market, career progression, and increment expectations of more than 50, 000 job seekers in India, it has been found that around 70% of the job seekers are actively looking for a job, similarly more than 70% employees looking for job change due to several reasons such as fear of job loss and salary cut. Approx 14% of employees are under Fear of Laid off and 16.4% employees facing salary cut off, also 9.28% of employees already being laid off.

Around 58% of the employees confirm that lay-offs have already been announced in their companies or likely to be announced in the near future but the positive thing is that more than 21% think that their job is safe and layoffs are not likely to happen.


In this survey, around 62% of employees confirm that salary cuts already been announced in their companies or likely to be announced in the near future.

On part of Employee Sentiment on Increments, around 49% of employees are expecting nil (Zero) increments by the organizations this year.

Employees Sentiment on Up-skilling: Around 50% of the job seekers are focusing on brushing their domain knowledge for career development and ~29% either enrolled or will enroll for an upskilling course(s).


Whereas most affected areas in terms of functional areas are Sales/BD/Marketing and HR but Finance and Account, Data Science and IT still in the good face.
